Mel Hemmings launched Bare + Fair
‘zero waste’ & refill shop after being inspired by the Zero Waste
movement and her own family’s attempts at living more sustainably.
Mel is passionate about encouraging people to take their next
sustainable step, wherever they’re at on their journey.
In this inspiring and educational conversation that we all need to
hear, Mel talks of how her shop really began from the seed of an
idea in her home and how her support network meant she could make
this goal reality, during a pandemic no less!
We talk around where our recycling can actually end up once it’s
left our roadside collections, how we can start doing our bit by
making small changes and Mel also shares the reality of growing a
business alongside a family.
